HOPE MESSAGE OF THE DAY

After hanging up my hat as an attorney and retail business owner, I reluctantly began helping my husband as an office professional in his financial planning business. I will never forget a question I was asked while sitting behind my desk as Todd’s new office manager. Prepare yourself for this question….”Is this all you are going to do now?” Honestly, those words pierced my soul, BUT just momentarily as the shock wore off! I wish I could tell you I had a clever come back, but I didn’t! All I said was “yes, and I love it!” But I meant it! My relationship with God taught me to find joy in using my own gifts. You see organizing brings me joy and Todd (my husband) needs a lot of organizing! Talking to people brings me joy! Helping people brings me joy! Honoring God by using the gifts He gave me brings me unexplainable JOY!!

ORGANIZATIONAL TIP OF THE DAY

What brings you joy? No, seriously, stop and think about my question? On an ordinary day, what brings you joy? No, not the one week of vacation a year kind of joy, but real life every day joy. Please don’t feel bad if this question is hard to answer, but take your struggle as a motivational sign to dig deeper into your heart. Visit with God. Ask Him to help you find your joy. Before I roll out of bed every morning, I ask God to dictate my day, to show me what He needs done, and to grace me with a servant’s heart. Trust me, those days are the best joy-filled days ever!
