My husband and I have a tradition of gifting a new Bible to our children each year at Christmas! As I was wrapping presents yesterday, I couldn’t help but rejoice that the greatest gift under our tree each year is absolutely God’s word. For sure, the other gifts are fun and maybe even practical, but it is only God’s word that lights our path. When our path is on fire for God, we are then able to be a light for others inspiring them to draw close to God, to utilize their God-given gifts, and make heaven more crowded. So “Be the Light” today and always!

What are your favorite holiday traditions? Is there a history behind why you honor these family keepsakes? I challenge you to write it all down for the generations to come! And maybe start a new one! But no matter what you do, be God’s light here on this earth! And not just during the holidays! Let God’s word guide you to shine bright for Him as a daily tradition and not one just saved for special occasions! BE THE LIGHT!
