HOPE MESSAGE OF THE DAY

In 2023, I joined our church’s mission to read the whole holy bible in a year together as a congregation. As we were preparing to start this journey together, one of the pastors stated that we could listen to the Bible. Wait what? I always thought that was cheating, but I learned that is how the original Bible was communicated as most of the Christians could not read. Romans 10:17 states that faith comes by hearing, so I listened to the whole holy bible in one year. Un….stinkin’…believable! I am so passionate about this experience that I hand out Bibles and ear buds to anyone that will take one! Today, I continue to reread the Bible each year and have started a new Christmas tradition with my family. Each year, starting with The Story, my children will receive a new Bible that we will read together on the one year plan. What a joy that has brought to my heart. Let God.

ORGANIZATIONAL TIP OF THE DAY

Let me point out the obvious. Sometimes, the Bible is hard to read. I don’t always understand what I read. The New Testament interests me far more than the Old Testament. And then I remember something…I am not a Bible expert. The purpose of reading the Bible is not to win a trivia contest or win the next debate, but rather to get to know God. So just read! And sign up to read or listen to the Bible in a year!
